Parking in style at Schönbrunn Palace with A1 mobile parking

13 April 2011: A1 Telekom Austria is expanding its mobile parking service. As part of a pilot project, users of the APCOA car park at Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna and the APCOA parking garage at Graz Airport can now pay their parking fees directly from their mobile phone. When entering the car park users will get a ticket as usual. Payment will then be made by sending a text message to a number found on the ticket quoting a unique code which is also printed on the ticket. Seconds later, successful payment will be confirmed by a free text message. The user can then exit the car park. Parking fees are collected automatically either as part of the mobile phone bill or from a pre-paid balance. An expansion of this service to car park sites throughout Austria is now planned.

sunhill technologies concludes additional round of financing

Erlangen, Germany, 21/01/2011. With the backing of these four prestigious investors, sunhill technologies GmbH now has a secure position from which to continue the expansion of its business model and has substantial support for its rollout in German-speaking countries and beyond.

sms&park is running at Nuremberg Airport

Since November 2010 car drivers can use their mobile phones for paying their parking tickets at Nuremberg Airport.

The service can be used at all short term parking places in front of the terminals.

“This is another important step in improving our service”, says Mr. Karl-Heinz Krüger CEO of the Airport Nuremberg.
